Welcome to my musical journey! I'm thrilled to share a bit about myself, my passions, and the experiences that have shaped who I am today.

Early Years and Musical Beginnings

I started piano lessons at age six, joined the school band and choir in Farmington, New Mexico, and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, by age 14. There, I joined an elite Glee Club that performed across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.

Eclectic Musical Journey

My passion for music soared when I found folk music and the five-string banjo. Inspired by Pete Seeger's "How to Play the 5-String Banjo," I taught myself and expanded to guitar and fiddle. In college, I began composing music, incorporating piano and electronic keyboards.

Professional Growth and Teaching

In the late '80s and early '90s, I worked at Grandma's Music and Sound in Albuquerque, learning pro audio and keyboards. This led to teaching piano, keyboard, and music theory. I participated in music symposiums at the University of New Mexico, further enriching my skills.

My Music

My Music is down-to-earth, folksy, dance-like, imaginative, and appealing to those who appreciate the beauty and simplicity of nature and our human nature. My creative process is akin to a trek through the mountains, with ideas developing and evolving in a way that offers both familiarity and surprise.

I believe in the power of music to connect people.

I believe in the inspiration of music to connect people. Whether teaching piano lessons or sharing my recordings, my goal has always been to help bring joy and enrichment to others’ lives. I aspire to create a platform where I can broadcast my creations, recordings, and creative process to a like-minded audience, which is why I’ve created this site.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about my journey. I look forward to sharing more music and experiences with you as we continue this adventure together.
