Thought I’d bring you up to date on the book progress…
Last week I finished “the second time through” all the pieces that will be in the new book “A Collection of Original Works and Arrangements for Piano” by Tom Fachan. That is I am finished editing with Sibelius (the music scripting software) — for at least the moment, as there will be some subtle changes in the music script up until the final publishing.
This last week I finished 2nd editing of Night Sky and Le Complaint d’un Jeaune Fille (A Little Girl’s Lament).
Again, here is the composite list of all of the piano works we will be publishing:
- The Woodland Trail
- Symphony no. 7, 2nd Movement Theme by L.v. Beethoven
- McRoad
- El Rio Bravo
- Sentimental Me
- Dance of the Evening Winds and Shadows (digital recording of which is already published on the music page)
- Berceuse (Lullaby) by Gabriel Faure… (for 2 hands piano)
- Le Complaint d’un Jeaune Fille (A Little Girl’s Lament)
- Night Sky (digital recording of which is already published on the music page)
- Variations on 2 Themes, Medley “Folia” and “Greensleeves”
- Blue Corners of the Night (digital recording of which is already published on the music page)
So, now we start the process of videotaping the pieces in “threes.”
We will be following the list above for that. I’ve been spending a lot of time at the piano practicing, as you might expect. All of these pieces are very familiar to me, but some have been 30 years since I last played!!
So off I go to get them into “playing” and recording shape!!
