Thought I’d bring you up to date on the Piano Music Book I’m writing and let you know how far we are from publishing. The tentative title will be “Eleven Compositions And Arrangements For Piano”.
The first couple of blog reports, plus this report, show that I have gotten through the second editing of the following works. That makes these works ready to publish from a music-scoring point of view. So when the illustrations are complete and final word editing is done, we should be ready for publishing.
- The Woodland Trail
- Symphony No. 7, 2nd Movement Theme by L.v. Beethoven
- McRoad
- El Rio Bravo
- Sentimental Me
- Dance Of The Evening Winds and Shadows
- Berceuse (Lullaby). By Gabriel Faure
- …
- …
- Variations on Two Themes, Medley of “Folia” and “Greensleeves”
- Blue Corners of the Night
So… the last two piano works I need to run through a second editing are:
- Le Complaint d’une Jeune Fille (A Little Girl’s Lament)
- Night Sky
Also, you can see in #2 and #7 that they are arrangements by Me and the original composer is listed. I have included in this letter a photo of the first page of one of these arrangements “Berceuse”. Last blog I included a photo of the first page of Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 7,2nd Movement Theme”.
These photos show the degree of details needed in the 2nd editing pass-through. The original works will be very similar in detail. For copyright reasons, I’m only sharing Arrangement photos.

I am looking forward to completing no. 8 and no. 9 with a 2nd editing within the next 2 weeks at least. Then I will concentrate on taping the entire “11 original compositions and arrangements” so eventually you will be able to see and hear them being played and recorded on the website and on Spotify, Apple, etc.
I’m going to need to practice some, I know that!
Best,
Tom Fachan
